Hanoi – Sai gon – Dai Nam- My Tho – Can tho – Vung Tau (6 days, 5 nights)

As the regional capital, My Tho is the main market dealing in all the produce from the region as well as fish & seafood from My Tho’s large ocean going fishing fleet. The very large & exuburant market is one of South Vietnam’s biggest sources for dried fish & other dried seafood products such as Kho Muc – dried squid. At nighttime the market is dedicated to the dealing & sorting of Mekong river fish -particularly catfish for HCMCs wholesale markets. Produce especially fruit & veg is delivered by boat directly to the market.

DAY 01: HANOI – HO CHI MINH CITY                                                                                     (L, D)

In the morning, Hanoi Tourism’s car and guide will meet you at your hotel. Then we will transfer to Noibai International Airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Upon arrival in Tan Son Nhat International Airport, we will move to our hotel for check-in registration.

In the afternoon, we will visit the Reunification Palace (formerly known as Independence Palace) – the home and workplace of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. It is known as the famous historical witness which passed through the two fierce wars against the French and American colonists. The building now functions as a museum, where visitors can view the F5E fighter plane which bombed the palace on 8th April 1975 and tank 843 which led the final assault through the palace gate at 11.30 am on 30th April 1975.

After that, we will continue visiting some of the French-architectual-style buidings like: Sai Gon Notre-Dame Basilica, Sai Gon Central Post Office and Ho Chi Minh City Hall. Then you have free time for shopping at Ben Thanh Market, before we going back to the hotel.

DAY 02: HO CHI MINH CITY – DAI NAM                                                              (B, L, D)

At 7.30 am, we will start our trip to Dai Nam Tourist – Cultural – Historical Zone in Binh Duong. This is the first safari in Vietnam and the largest artificial sea in Southeast Asia. Our day in the 450ha Lac Canh Dai Nam Van Hien Entertainment Complex will include:

  • Dai Nam Van Hien Temple, one of the most important structures in the park. The temple contains historical exhibits and is used as a place of worship. Exhibits of Vietnam’s various dynasties from Ngo to Nguyen are also on display here. Dai Nam Van Hien is also called Tu An Temple (Temple of Four Gratitudes), a reminder of the origins of the Vietnamese and the people who helped form the country, including the Buddha, the Hung Kings, the Au Co Mother and President Ho Chi Minh.
  • Bao Son Mountain Range (a rough copy of the Ngu Hanh Son Range) and the nine-storey tower, Bao Thap.
  • The safari park, which is home to rhinos, white lions, tigers, elephants, bears, ostriches, chamois, zebras, gnus, squirrel-monkeys, and foxes, many of which are not typically found in Viet Nam.
  • Fun and games such as the roller coaster on square ralls, electric car racing, water plume ride and the swing across the waterfall, Snow World, Art 4D cinema, etc.

After lunch at Dai Nam, we can continue our visiting or swimming in the artificial beach there. Time for gathering and departure will be at around 3.00 pm. Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh, you will have a chance to try the “Trang Bang dew-wetted rice paper” – a speciality of Tay Ninh Province. Free discovery and overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 03: HO CHI MINH CITY – MY THO – CAN THO                                           (B, L, D)

In the early morning, we will be picked up by Hanoi Tourism’s car and guide, then transfer to My Tho City, passing Nguyen Van Linh Highway (the modernest highway in Vietnam) and Sai Gon – Trung Luong Highway.

After your breakfast with My Tho noodle soup en route, we will continue our journey to the destination. Then we will move to the boat to admire the verdant landscape filling with fruits on the banks of Tien River, with four islands (Long, Lan, Quy, Phung), visiting Phung Hillock (Con Phung), we will have an opportunity to learn about “The cardinal of Coconut Religion” Nguyen Thanh Nam in the ruins of Coconut Religion, following by the traditional folksongs performance named “don ca tai tu” and the sweety flavor of Ben Tre’s coconut juice.

Coming to Thoi Son Hillock, we will visit an old house which well represents the southern style, wander around the bonsai gardens and orchards, watch the coconut-candy making process, learn how to raise honey bees and try the honey lime tea.

After lunch at the local garden house with southern-style specialities, we will have a short break before moving to Can Tho Province.

Dinner on cruise, river landscape viewing, free discovery and overnight stay in Can Tho.

DAY 04: CAN THO – HO CHI MINH CITY                                                               (B, L, D)

After breakfast and hotel check-out, we will proceed to visit Cai Rang Floating Market, located at about 6km from Can Tho City. This is the most famous and biggest floating market in the Mekong Delta. From the early morning, the waterway becomes a maze of hundreds of boats packed with fruits, vegetables, plants, foods, etc. Sellers hang a sample of what they have from the top of a long pole so that buyers can see from a distance what they are selling. We will also have a chance to visit the fruit orchards, rice noodle-making families and enjoy the pure atmosphere of Vietnam’s rural landscapes.

In the afternoon, on the way back to Ho Chi Minh City, we will stop at some fruit orchards such as Ba Dua, Kim Son, Vinh Kim, so you can buy the fruits from the orchards as travel present.

DAY 05: HO CHI MINH CITY – VUNG TAU                                                            (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we will proceed to visit Vung Tau City, which is located at about 125km from Ho Chi Minh City. The whole city area lies on a peninsula which is separated from the mainland by a gulf river called Co May river. Its close location to Saigon and its beauty and fresh air makes it a very popular destination for weekends.

Upon arrival in Vung Tau, you will have a fresh seafood lunch at a local seafood restaurant, following by hotel check-in registration and a short break. In the afternoon, you will be free for swimming and relaxing activities. There are four beaches in the city cented located in different positions: Front Beach, Back Beach, Pineapple Beach and Mulberry Beach.

Dinner, free exploration and overnight stay in Vung Tau.

DAY 06: VUNG TAU – SAI GON – HANOI                                                                   (B, L)

After breakfast and swimming time, we will hike to the Lighthouse and the Statue of Jesus Christ with outstretched arms in the small mountain. On top of small mountain, you will have a panoramic view of the whole Vung Tau below. We will also visit the Villa Blanche (Bach Dinh) – a summer holiday house of French Governor General Paul Doumer. From its balcony there’s a panoramic view of Front Beach and opposite the Villa at the foot of that mountain is Hai Nguu islet with a stone rock shaped like a water buffalo wallowing in water. Today, Villa Blanche exhibits hundreds of antiques collected from Cau Islet-Con Dao and is the culture destination attracts hundreds of tourists every day.

After lunch and hotel check-out, we will return to Ho Chi Minh City. On the way back, we will also visit Long Thanh Milk Cow Center or Ba Ria Market for speciality shopping.

Upon arrival in Tan Son Nhat International Airport, we will transfer to Noi Bai International Airport for departure flight, ending your unforgetable trip with Hanoi Tourism.
