DAY 01: HANOI – HO CHI MINH CITY                                                                                          (D)

In the morning, Hanoi Tourism’s car and guide will meet you at your hotel. Then we will transfer to Noibai International Airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Upon arrival in Tan Son Nhat International Airport, we will move to our hotel for check-in registration.

In the afternoon, we will visit the Reunification Palace (formerly known as Independence Palace) – the home and workplace of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. It is known as the famous historical witness which passed through the two fierce wars against the French and American colonists. The building now functions as a museum, where visitors can view the F5E fighter plane which bombed the palace on 8th April 1975 and tank 843 which led the final assault through the palace gate at 11.30 am on 30th April 1975.

After that, we will continue visiting some of the French-architectual-style buidings like: Sai Gon Notre-Dame Basilica, Sai Gon Central Post Office and Ho Chi Minh City Hall. Then you have free time for shopping at Ben Thanh Market, before we going back to the hotel.

DAY 02: HO CHI MINH CITY – CHAU DOC                                                          (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we will depart Ho Chi Minh City for Long An, along the route of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai – Dong Khoi – Nguyen Hue – Le Loi – Nguyen Van Linh, and take a look at some of ourstanding architectual en route; including the Reunification Palace, Notre-Dame Basilica, Ben Thanh market, Phu My Hung urban area, etc.

Along the national route 1A, we will pass through Ben Luc, Tan An (Long An Province) – home of the two rivers Vam Co Dong & Vam Co Tay, with Go Den wine, Nang Thom Cho Dao rice, Ben Luc pineapples, etc. Coming to My Tho City (Tien Giang Province), you will have an opportunity to visit the famous land during the Nam Ky Luc Tinh period, also named as My Tho Dai Pho. We will go along Tien River via ferry boat, stop at the coconut-candy kilns and honey bee farms, get on the horse-drawn vehicle to travel on the small roads, enjoy the villages filled with coconut trees in Ben Tre and discover the daily life of the southwest locals. We will also go through Rach Mieu Bridge – the newly completed building of Ben Tre.

In the afternoon, we will move to Sa Dec (Dong Thap Province) via national route 80, enjoy the local speacial cuisine such as Lai Vung fermented pork hash, Sa Giang special crab and shrimp chips, Cao Lanh Red Tangerine. We will go through Vam Cong Ferry to reach Long Xuyen (An Giang Province), one of the biggest cities of the southwest provinces on the bank of Hau River.

Upon arrival in Chau Doc in the late afternoon for hotel check-in and dinner, we will have several stops for the rest of day. They include Ancient Pagoda Tay An, Thoai Ngoc Hau’s Tomb, Ba Chua Xu Temple and Sam Mountain’s night market. Free discovery and overnight stay in An Giang.


DAY 03: AN GIANG – KIEN GIANG                                                                         (B, L, D)

After hotel check-out, we will move to Chau Doc Covered Market so you can buy a lot of local specialties, especially the fish sauce. Chau Doc is particularly well known for the variety of fish sauce and high export productivity of basa catfish. Leaving Chau Doc, through the seven mountains area, we can admire the majestic landscape of “That Son” (which means Seven Mountains) with the untouched and mysterious Ong Cam Mountain, stop at Chau Lang Xa Ton and enjoy the specialty “jaggery juice” of An Giang. We will continue moving to Ha Tien (Kien Giang Province), passing N2 Route along Vinh Te Canal.

Lunch will be served after hotel check-in registration in Ha Tien. In the afternoon, we will go to Mui Nai Beach, which is very beautiful and dreamlike with brown sand and blue sea. Coming here, you can swim, sunbathe or join sports on the beach without being disturbed. We can also sip a cup of coffee at a tourism zone named Golden Deer Hill (Doi Nai Vang). This is a construction combining both natural and man-made landscapes, with trees cast shadows on the path sloping gently to the hill. Or you can sit on the observatory atop Ta Pang Mountain to enjoy a superb panoramic view of Ha Tien with one of three telescopes. Then we will continue going up to Binh San Mountain – one of ten beautiful landscapes in Ha Tien, visiting Mac Cuu Mausoleum, listening to the history of Mac family (who was well-known for constructing Ha Tien in 18th century), admiring Thach Dong (which means Stone Grotto), then the Ancient Pagoda Phu Dung.

DAY 04: KIEN GIANG – CA MAU                                                                              (B, L, D)

After hotel check-out, we will make a stop at Spike Rock (Hon Chong), following by Cave Pagoda (Chua Hang) and Father-and-son Rocks (Hon Phu Tu), passing Rach Gia (Kien Giang) – the charming west city.

In the afternoon, we will move to Rach Soi along the national route 63, reaching Tac Cau Ferry and heading along Xeo Ro Canal to Miet Thu. We will arrive in Ca Mau Province for hotel check-in registration, dinner, free exploration and overnight stay.

DAY 05: CA MAU – BAC LIEU                                                                                   (B, L, D)

We will start our trip to Nam Can mangrove forest in the early morning, conquering the last kilometers of Thien Ly Viet Nam Road. Then we will continue passing Cua Lon, Ong Trang and Rach Tau river via canoe.

Coming to Cape Ca Mau National Park, it means that you are stepping on the southernmost of Vietnam. This National park was originally covered in natural mangrove forest but the vast majority was destroyed during the Second Indochina War and, later, by conversion to aquacultural ponds and agricultural land. Most of the aquacultural ponds have been abandoned, and now support extensive areas of re-colonising mangrove forest. There are extensive mudflats, which are also being colonised naturally by mangrove. Here you can wander around the Cape Ca Mau site, or take photos with the national boundary stone and the symbol panel of Cape Ca Mau.

In the afternoon, we will depart for Bac Lieu Province, visiting Tac Say Church – where worships Father Buu Diep. Dinner, free discovery and overnight stay in Bac Lieu.

DAY 06: BAC LIEU – SOC TRANG – CAN THO                                                     (B, L, D)

In the morning, we will stop over at the locally famous House of Bac Lieu Dude (now Bac Lieu Dude Hotel), the memorial house of musician Cao Van Lau (the original composer of the song vong co which started a new genre of cai luong music in the 1920s), Phat Ba Nam Hai, Xiem Can Pagoda (the most beautiful and the largest pagoda in the region).

After lunch, we will transfer to Soc Trang via the route Vinh Chau – My Xuyen, passing through many Phum Srok and ancient Kh’mer pagodas. Coming to Soc Trang Province, we will proceed to visit Bat Pagoda, Clay Pagoda and Nga Bay Town.

In the evening, you can take a walk along Ninh Kieu Pier, or take a boat on Hau River and enjoy tranditional folksongs named “don ca tai tu”. After that, you will be taken to Tay Do night market or Cai Khe Trading Center, the places with the most exciting ngiht activities in Tay Do.

DAY 07: CAN THO – VINH LONG – HO CHI MINH CITY                                              (B)

After breakfast and hotel check-out, we will proceed to visit Cai Rang Floating Market, located at about 6km from Can Tho City. This is the most famous and biggest floating market in the Mekong Delta. From the early morning, the waterway becomes a maze of hundreds of boats packed with fruits, vegetables, plants, foods, etc. Sellers hang a sample of what they have from the top of a long pole so that buyers can see from a distance what they are selling. We will also have a chance to visit the fruit orchards, rice noodle-making families and enjoy the pure atmosphere of Vietnam’s rural landscapes.

We will also be taken to Phu Sa Ecological Tourist Area to enjoy the exciting activities of southwest people, such as passing monkey bridge, visiting cork forest, river bathing, boat rowing, fishing, admiring Can Tho Suspension Bridge and relaxing in the river breeze.

In the afternoon, we will pass My Thuan Bridge (Vinh Long Province) to reach one of the orchards in Cai Lay – Chau Thanh, taste and buy some kind of famous tropical fruit such as mangosteen, dragon fruit, rambutan, waterapple, banana and corossolier.

After that, we will return to Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City. Then we will transfer to Noi Bai International Airport for departure flight, ending your unforgetable trip with Hanoi Tourism.
